Original Paintings

Browse original landscape paintings for sale by Rhode Island artist Tara Shoemaker. These one-of-a-kind contemporary landscape paintings move between recognition and abstraction, with interpretive color, layered marks, and mixed media. Materials and supports vary by piece, with watercolor, acrylic ink, charcoal, graphite, pastel, paper, panel, and canvas appearing across the work. Each listing includes the exact medium, dimensions, and support. Once an original is sold, that exact painting is gone.

Want a hand-finished print?

Each hand-finished print begins as a fine art reproduction of one of Tara Shoemaker’s original paintings. She then adds paint, gold, and iridescent details by hand, creating subtle variations from print to print and a surface that catches and reflects the light. Ordering opens once a year.
