I paint landscapes because beauty is important—not in a decorative sense, but because beauty tells the truth.

I am inspired by ordinary moments: sunlight breaking through a storm, clouds gathering on a distant horizon, light filtering through trees. Their beauty demands a response out of proportion to their apparent significance. They remind me that the world is bigger, wilder, and more meaningful than I often remember.

The landscape bears unmistakable signs of brokenness, yet remains astonishingly beautiful. That paradox sits at the center of my work. I am drawn to places where light makes an ordinary landscape feel unexpectedly profound.

I do not paint to document a scene exactly as it appears, but to capture the sense that there is more here than meets the eye—that behind and beyond the visible world is an ancient, eternal reality that gives meaning to it.

The world is broken, yet glory still shines around all the edges. My work is an attempt to help us see it.
